I tried to use Opalescence 20% whitening gel with trays and now have bright white lines and spots on my teeth! It looks as though only certain spots of my teeth were making contact with the gel. I don’t know what to do it looks awful! I used the boil and form mouth guard. Is there a better tray? Should I really fill it with a lot of gel? I was told to place pea sized dots around the inside of the tray.

How Long Did you leave the gel in? how long have the lines been on your teeth? it is normal for white lines to appear after whitening, but only for a short time, it will fade and blend in. I do not recommend the boil and form mouth guards because you may get an uneven result. you only need a small amount in the trays

Well,
I am whitening my teeth…thing is. Im using these two little kits. After 30 min of having the Treswhite Supreme on, I will wait maybe 1 hour and im using the Crest Whitestrips. I was wondering if this was bad for my teeth? and maybe also how long will it take till I notice a difference?

SLOOOOOW Down!! You can get where you want without causing your teeth pain. You will see change after 3-6 applications, but it may be too late to stop the pain. Follow the directions on the package, and don’t "double" up on the products. If you do get into pain, try Advil with food, and wait at least one week to start back up. Watch out for ice water. It will put you through the roof if you over do. Add Act rinse at bedtime if that happens. Good luck!

Do I leave the teeth trays in my mouth all night (8 hours) for four nights in a row or is the optimum whitening achieved in fewer hours per night?

I am looking into getting my teeth whitened, and these look like my main two options from all the dentists I’ve called… I am not interested in doing any of the over the counter by in a drug store whitening… I want professional… I am concerned about having sensitive teeth afterward… Also.I am hoping that the dentist can file one of my top front teeth to be lined evenly with the other… they are uneven… Is that possible?

I am using Opalescence. I got the trays from the orthodontist (my retainer are clear trays that double as bleaching trays) so that didn’t cost me when I got the bleach tubes from my dentist. So for me, it was A LOT cheaper. The Zoom is pretty expensive but it is quick. I have heard some horror stories about aching teeth after. My bottom teeth ache a bit the next day after I whiten overnight with the Opal. I have been doing it for about 2 weeks and I am just about to the shade I want…they look great.

i only have 1 filling on a tooth thats visible in my smile, and they made it a bit dark, so if i whiten my teeth that would be noticable, but other than that, what should i use to whiten my teeth? My teeth are KIND of sensitive, but not very. Probably sensitive because of a couple cavities im getting filled.

Does strawberries + baking soda work? and is it safe? Also should i try crest whitening strips or anything of that nature? I also found out about Opalescence PF, but i do not have a custom fitted tray. Any ideas would be great!

try crest whitening strips, just remember that if your filling is in a front tooth, the uneven color will be very noticeable, but you can always go to the dentist and ask him/her for a lighter filling shade.

Has anyone used tres white by opalescence as a way to whiten their teeth? i asked my dentist and he recommended this product, but wondered if anyone had used it before i spend the money?!
Also, i have a flouride patch on my front teeth – how will this be affected by the whitening? any ideas? thanks! x

the best thing to do without spending loads of money is to put strawberries on you teeth, catherine zeta jones does this, and i do, my teeth are cleaming

i wanna know if it will hurt my teeth or gums even worse if i have fillings ?? if i use 15% will it work and how long will it take before i start to notice the difference?? can i go to any dentist office and get it or do i have to go to mine ??

Bleach of any kind will not whiten fillings/crowns/veneers…natural tooth structure only. It shouldn’t hurt your teeth or gums more if you have fillings. 15% is one of the weaker solutions, but it’s best if you have sensitive teeth (bleaching makes some people’s teeth extremely sensitive). Some people start to notice a difference in a couple of days and with others, it takes a little while longer. It all depends on how much stain is on your teeth.

Different dentists carry different brands of bleach, so you may be able to go to another office to get it…I’m not sure.
